After getting feedback from teachers and several students, a decision has been made allowing students to use the type of backpack they feel most comfortable using in the hallways. This announcement was made to students this morning with a reminder about the concern for student back health. Students may need help thinking about how to organize their day so they do not have to carry everything in their backpacks. Office staff can help with this too if needed.

The Middle School supply lists have been updated. To see the lists go to the Shawnee webpage, click "Schools" and go to the Middle School. Then, click on the "Menu" and go to "Documents." Finally, go to "Quick Links" and look for "Middle School Supply Lists." A reminder that Middle School students will receive a Chromebook to utilize this year. They will need headphones. It is recommended that students purchase headphones that can plug into the Chromebook.
Shawnee Middle School Schedule Pick-Up Dates and Times -
5th and 6th grade schedule pick-up is Tuesday, August 17th from 8-11 AM and 1-3 PM.
7th and 8th grade schedule pick-up is Wednesday, August 18th from 8-11 AM and 1-3 PM.
Any grade level may come for schedule pick-up on Thursday, August 19th from 8 - 11 AM and 1-3 PM.
School supply lists will be updated on the website later today.
