Tomorrow is Connections Day! All SMS students will finally meet their pen pals for a mile walk and activities. With rain in the forecast, please make sure your student packs an extra set of clothes and shoes in a grocery bag. Encourage your student to wear old shoes since they will likely get muddy. If your student did not sign up to get a sack lunch from the cafeteria, please pack a sack lunch with all disposable items. The sack lunch needs to be labeled with the student's name. Students can bring hats and/or umbrellas but must keep items with them at all times. With tomorrow morning's forecast of around 55 degrees, students need to dress warm and accordingly. We look forward to seeing the entire district outside together tomorrow building connections!

The departure meeting for the DC trip is fast approaching! If you are traveling, you are expected to attend this important meeting.

SMS Friends and Families: As many of you know, the sixth grade has been lucky to attend a camp as a grade for several days each November for the past several decades. Our current fifth grade class is hosting this fundraiser to help alleviate some of the transportation costs associated with this amazing opportunity! Please consider purchasing a gift card (or several) to help in their endeavor. All of the details are included in the flyer, but if you have additional questions feel free to email Vonderwellj@limashawnee.com. Please share with friends & family. Thank you for your support!
