On Friday, SMS administrators were made aware of 7th grade students speaking about a student making a threat. The administration with the help of our SRO thoroughly investigated the situation. At this time, we believe our school community safe. If you have further questions, please call the MS Office tomorrow.

Classes of 2030 and 2031 who are interested in attending the Washington, DC, Gettysburg, Williamsburg, Jamestown & Busch Gardens Trip in 2026 should plan to attend the informational meeting on Wednesday, May 21 at 7 pm in the 7/8 cafeteria. Congratulations to Jason Chukwuma-Eze, 5th grade, for winning the Lima News Regional Spelling Bee! After 13 rounds of competition with 38 other students, Jason spelled "pinnate" correctly to secure the victory. He will move on to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. at the end of May. Way to go, Jason!
