Shawnee High School

Each month, Shawnee High School chooses a "Student of the Month" from each grade level in their building. Students are nominated on a monthly basis by their teachers, for their character and positive actions within the school. These students are recognized by the school for their upstanding character and behavior. Students awarded this title will receive a "Student of the Month Swag Bag" for their efforts. This includes a free event ticket (courtesy of SHS Drama for September winners), some treats from the Mental Health Coordinator, and various donations from area businesses. We would like to thank the following local businesses for their contributions to our Swag Bags: Sara's Sweets Shawnee Station Kewpee Hamburgers Westgate Entertainment Center Biggby Coffee

Shawnee Schools received a Champion of Kindness certificate and 10 boxes of food, totaling over 2,000 meals through the OSU Extension SNAP-ED program. If you are a Shawnee family who would benefit from a food box, email Leigh Kempton: leighk@limashawnee.com

Due to temperatures, there will be an early dismissal for students tomorrow, Thursday, August 24 AND Friday, August 25. Middle and High School students will dismiss at 12:53 pm. Elmwood and Maplewood will dismiss at 2 pm. High school students with late arrival need to check the high school webpage for their arrival time.

In the event that school is canceled tomorrow, Wed., Jan. 25, due to bad weather, the College Credit Plus informational meeting that is scheduled for 6:30 pm in the auditorium will also be canceled, and will not be rescheduled. Instead, please view the video presentation that is attached below which outlines the meeting information and details needed to participate in College Credit Plus.
