Yesterday we celebrated 4 amazing Shawnee students- one in each grade for making a positive difference. They were nominated by a staff member who caught them doing something positive. Each got to spin a prize wheel and walk away with something from a local business. Thank you to Shawnee Station, McDonalds, and Whitewater Express Carwash for their donations. We are so proud of: Logan Market, Marah Garlock, Alydia Allison and James Morris. We will be doing another drawing this Friday. Way to go guys! We are so incredibly proud of you!

As part of Shawnee Schools PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) plan, Shawnee High School is recognizing a Student of the Month for each grade level. Students are nominated by any staff member who recognizes a student demonstrating good character and performing one or more of our Indian Expectations: taking ownership, taking initiative, being resilient, and advocating. This month's theme was advocate. Congratulations to these Students of the Month for March 2025!

Shawnee High School senior Ava Patel has been named the Lima Exchange Club’s Youth of the Year! Ava was selected for this prestigious honor based on her thoughtful response to this year's essay prompt, which focused on how young people can contribute to society. In her essay, Ava highlighted her role in founding the Red Cross Club at Shawnee High School—a student-led organization that fosters community service, encourages volunteerism, and offers support to fellow students in need. Ava’s dedication to making a positive impact is truly inspiring, and this recognition reflects her hard work and commitment to helping others. Congratulations, Ava! Your Shawnee community is incredibly proud of your achievements and the example you set for others.
