OMEA All-State Choir brings together outstanding high school singers from across Ohio for an unforgettable musical experience where they will perform at the OMEA Professional Development Conference this January in Columbus!
Over 1,200 auditions are submitted for all-state ensembles each May, and our Shawnee students found out this August they were included in the group of only 100 students!
🎵This is Hannah Blake’s first year in the All-State Choir and Logan Spencer’s third! Both students will have their names on a plaque outside the Choir Room.
We are so proud of our musicians and this prestigious musical honor that they have worked hard for!

Shawnee High School Open House - August 27, 2026
Shawnee High School will be hosting an Open House on Thursday, August 27, 2026 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The building will be open for students to come in and find their classrooms and lockers, meet their teachers, and have questions answered prior to the first day of school on Monday, August 31. Students that still need to make fee payments and pick up workbooks/chrome books may do so this night also.
Pictures will be taken on Monday, August 17 – Wednesday, August 19 at Shawnee High School

Schedule pick-up will take place for Shawnee High School students on Mon, Aug 17 - Wed, Aug 19. from 8 - 11:30 and 12:30 - 2:30. Pictures will be taken in the East Cafeteria at this time. Fees may be paid and chromebooks may be picked up in the GIC. Workbooks may be picked up in the West Office.

Click for the Minor Work Permit . All sections must be completed before it can be processed. Part 1 must be filled out by the student and family, and Part 2 is to be completed by the employer. Part 3 requires a physician’s signature; however, an existing current sports physical on file may be used instead.
SHS- We hope you will be able to join us tonight 5/13 from 6:00-7:30 for the High School Art Show in the GIC. There is some stunning art work that was created from our talented students.
Last week, our building liaisons led a meaningful spirit week in recognition of our military-connected families. Students and families at Elmwood, Maplewood and the Middle School shared time together over lunch, and each building proudly participated in “Purple Up!” day--showing appreciation and unity across our district.
