Fifth grade students attended the D.A.R.E. concert at the Civic Center. Shawnee Middle School coordinates with the Allen County Sheriff's Department to provide the D.A.R.E. program each year to fifth graders. D.A.R.E. stands for "Drug Abuse Resistance Education." The program encourages making good, healthy choices.

If you did not order a yearbook earlier in the school year, extra SMS Yearbooks will go on sale this Friday the 19th. They will be sold each morning in the 7/8 cafeteria until we are sold out. Cost is $35, students must have EXACT cash or a check made out to Shawnee Middle School. Remember there is limited availability, it is first come first served, so if you want a yearbook, have your money ready Friday morning!
