SHAWNEE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

Thursday, February 29, 2024

How have you been celebrating Black History Month this February? To help highlight our school's diversity and push us in a direction towards greater inclusion, Patchwork is hosting a meeting today at 2:45 in Ms. Berger’s room to celebrate Black History. All are encouraged to join.

Each day, hundreds of children die from measles despite it only costing $2 dollars to vaccinate them against both measles and rubella. You can help save these children by donating during your lunch period in the West Cafeteria and get a free pin with any donation.

The spring Blood Donor Day will be Wednesday, March 20th. The drive is open to all Seniors, Juniors, and staff members. More information will be forthcoming to Seniors today, during Thrive, and to Juniors on Tuesday, March 5th, during Connections. Flyers are posted around the building with the QR code for sign-up.

Attention Juniors and Seniors:  Be sure to check out your grade level google classroom for upcoming visits with college and military reps.  Sign up is through the Google Form attached to the calendar in Google Classroom.  For any Junior or Senior that signed up to attend the presentation with the Air Force representative, please report to room 160 during Thrive. Students that are signed up to meet with the University of Cincinnati representative need to report to the Guidance Office during Thrive.

Time for trivia: What school counselor, dressed as Little Orphan Annie, was once named a national tap dance champion? Submit your guess to Google Classroom by 3pm for a chance to win!
