Spirit Week continues tomorrow so feel free to wear a hat as you show Shawnee your best Frat attire. Friday, wear your Shawnee gear while bringing your books around in “anything but a backpack”. Restrictions do apply so choose wisely!! Tickets for Homecoming are on sale now and will be sold at lunch this week. You can also purchase tickets before or after school in Mr. Miller or Ms. Griffo’s room. Tickets are $10 and will also be sold at the door. Also, as a reminder, each student is only able to purchase two tickets. Any questions, see Mr. Miller or Ms. Griffo.

Attention juniors and seniors:  Remember to check the guidance website and google classroom for the latest schedule on college and military representatives coming to Shawnee.  More reps, specifically military ones, have recently been added.

Attention all students:  Our first meeting of the year for Gatekeepers (formerly Silence Breakers) will be tomorrow from 7:00-7:30 AM in room 160.  Gatekeepers is an opportunity to engage in activities surrounding mental health awareness and suicide prevention. As a group we hold important discussions on mental health and reducing stigma while working to increase awareness and discussing ways to support those around us. Various officer roles are available in this group to utilize your leadership skills.  All are welcome!

Congratulations to the girls golf team for finishing 3rd in the WBL’s with a score of 448. Kaley Cotrell, Kylie Larimore, and Lucy Wiltsie all played their personal best.

Avatar is Shawnee High School's art and literary publication club. Students in this club produce a monthly online publication highlighting Shawnee's fine and performing arts while also writing creative articles. There will be an informational meeting after school tomorrow in Mr. Krawetzke's room if you would like to learn more about this club.

Starting today, National Honor Society students will be available after school on Wednesdays in the GIC for tutoring in any academic subject. Whether you need help with homework, studying for a test, or just someone to review with you or provide study tips, help is available until 3:30, but come as soon as you can to make sure the tutors are still there.

Did you guess the correct answer to the trivia question: What staff member took swing dance lessons in college and bagpipe lessons right after college? The answer is Mrs. Bidlack. Thanks to all students who submitted an answer. No one guessed correctly, but you'll have another chance to win tomorrow.
