The GIC will be open to Study Hall students beginning this Thursday. Study Hall students may come to the GIC any period, as long as they have a pass from the teacher whose assignment they are working on.
The first gathering of the Board and Card Game Club will be held today after school until 3:45pm. If interested, simply show up and play some games! Email or see Mr. Higgins for the Google Classroom code. The club meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school.
Homecoming will be Saturday, September 23rd at Apollo. Out of town guest forms are now available in the East Office. Forms must be completed and turned in by September 20th.
Students in Ms. Coats’ class will be selling Shawnee Spirit Bracelets for $2.00 this week in both cafeterias and in room 126. They will go fast so get yours today!
Auditions for the fall drama production of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow will be held on September 6th and 7th after school in the Hugh Downs Auditorium. Interested in trying out for a role? Contact Mr. Krawetzke for details.
Beginning this week, Mrs. Keller will be offering extra math help each Thursday after school. You can come immediately after school to room 210 for any help or questions you may have.
Attention all students: This is the chance you've been waiting for! Learn interesting facts about our SHS staff and maybe even win a prize! Each Tuesday and Thursday a trivia question about a staff member will be read on morning announcements and posted in your grade's Google Classroom. Submit your answer through Google Classroom by 3 pm the day the question is read. If your answer is correct, your name will be placed into a drawing for a prize. You'll hear the correct answer to the question on the following day's announcement and the winner of the drawing will be posted in Google Classroom. Winners will claim their prizes in guidance. Let's get started! The first trivia question of the year is: What new(er) staff member has played in 3 different bands, including the Shawnee High School Band of One?
Remember to submit your answer through the google form in your grade level classroom by 3 pm today. Winner will be announced and posted tomorrow. Good luck!
