SHAWNEE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCEMENTS

 Exams are coming soon. Make sure you are well prepared! If you need a little extra help as you study, NHS students are here to help. This week,  free tutoring is available after school in the GIC on Tuesday and Wednesday, starting at 2:45. There will not be any tutoring after school on Thursday this week. The regular NHS tutoring schedule will resume next week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

 The 4th OHIO MATH LEAGUE CONTEST will be held today, in room 206 from 2:45-3:15.  If you plan to attend, you must stay the entire 30 minutes.

 All TEAMS members will have a meeting in Mr. McGreevy's room right after exams on Thursday. The meeting will last about 15 minutes and we will discuss the Design-Build challenge.

 MEETING CHANGE: There will be an Esports meeting for any interested students tomorrow, in the GIC. You must be 13 or over to participate. Please have rides at the high school at 3:15. If you cannot make it, please email Mr. Favro. 

 The Overtime Dance will be held on Friday, January 27th. Out of town guest forms are available in the East Office and must be returned by Monday, January 23rd.

 Saturday School scheduled for this Saturday, January 14th, will be held in the West Cafeteria. Students need to enter through the N4 doors.

 There will not be Connections class tomorrow due to exam preparation. 

 As part of Shawnee Schools PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) plan, Shawnee High School will be recognizing a Student of the Month for each grade level. Students are nominated by any staff member who recognizes a student demonstrating good character and performing one or more of our Indian Expectations: taking ownership, taking initiative, being resilient, and advocating. Congratulations to these Students of the Month for January 2023...9th grade - Chloe Massie, 10th grade - Pauly Caris, 11th grade - Adam Rigali, 12th grade - Logan King. Congratulations again!

 Semester Exams will be held this Thursday and Friday. Please be sure that you arrive on time each day and that your Chromebook is charged. The cafeterias will be closed for both exam days and buses will run as normal. Please plan ahead and make sure you bring your lunch if you will be staying after exams are finished. No students will be allowed to leave and return during the exam days; this is not an open campus schedule. Please see the full announcements on the website for the complete exam schedule. If you have questions about the exam day schedule, please see the West or East office. There will be no announcements read over the PA on Thursday or Friday so please check the website for any announcements.
