There will be one final parent meeting for anyone interested in going to the Bahamas next summer. This meeting is for anyone who has not signed up to go. The meeting will be held this Sunday at 5:00pm in room 160. Please see Mrs. Hefner for more information. 

The deadline to register for the October ACT is this Friday, September 16th, with a late registration date of September 30th (additional fees apply).  Shawnee is a testing site location for the October ACT and we especially encourage any seniors who would like to retake the ACT to register for the Saturday, October 22 administration.

The next SAT will be held on October 1, 2022.  Any interested students still have time to register under the late registration deadline by September 20th (additional fees apply).

Want to volunteer and are looking for opportunities? Join Shawnee’s Red Cross Club. The first meeting is today at 2:45 in Room 151. See Ms. Trueblood if you have any questions. 

Auditions for the musical, White Christmas, will be held after school today in the auditorium.

The Environmental Science Club will have their first meeting on Monday, Sept. 19 immediately after school in room 109. Anyone interested in joining, please see Mrs. Hefner. Come learn how you can help protect the environment!

NHS tutoring sessions are underway. This is an opportunity for all Shawnee High School students to receive free help with any courses they are taking. Come to the GIC on Tuesday or Thursday afternoon between 2:45 and 3:30, and there will be tutors waiting to help you. There is no appointment needed, and you do not need to stay for the whole time. Come check it out! 

Juniors and Seniors interested in attending one of the upcoming college conferences should sign up in the guidance office. 

After school math help will be every Thursday immediately after school in Mrs. Keller’s room. 

Come out and support the girls’ volleyball team as they take on their WBL rival, Wapak, tonight. It will be the first Spirit Club game. Freshman match begins at 4:30, JV begins at 5:30 and Varsity begins at 6:00. 

Homecoming will be Saturday, September 24th at Apollo. Out of town guest forms are now available in the East Office. Forms must be completed and turned in by September 20th.
